Omicron: 1 Fully vaccinated and tested Christmas party: 0
90-100 of 120 guests attending a Norwegian work party contract the virus
Given Fear Incorporated these days, one has to wonder how much of this story and the omicron hype is pretext. The vaccines have already failed in the UK and around the world. It was only a matter of time before an excuse was made, both for the vaccines short life span and to introduce the next drive of booster shots. What more believable answer could there be than a new variant out of a country on the other side of the world? That is far more transmissible than other variants?
In any case, let us pretend the official narrative is complete and reliable. There is a developing story out of Norway that is preemptively being blamed on the omicron variant.
The story goes that a workplace had a Christmas party with 120 employees, all of whom got tested before attending, and all of whom were fully vaccinated, yet 90 to 100 of these employees are now infected. They are blaming it on a restaurant employee who went on a recent trip to South Africa. Of course, he was also fully vaccinated, asymptomatic, had gone to other places in between, and so on.
Many of these individuals were never in the same room as the employee. In order to accept the story, people also have to accept that there vaccine is so ineffective that one can catch the virus in different rooms. That would be an interesting occurrence since, as far as I know, Norway vaccinated by age groups with older individuals getting vaccinated first. Meaning the attendees were assuredly less than 65 years old, probably much younger, and it has not been very long since they had their second dose.
Now, catching the virus in different rooms is plausible. The virus could have been picked up in the ventilation system, but presumably, only a small amount of the virus would ever make contact with any given person. Officially, the paranoid pandemic survivor does not accept the existence of ventilation systems. Why else would they continue to socially distance exactly two meters apart?
There is also the fact that they are implicitly blaming it on omicron by singling out the South African restaurant employee without doing any testing. In other words, they have not even determined what strain of the virus the attendees contracted. Honestly, though, if there was no omicron scare, the employees may not have been tested afterwards. So I suppose, in a sense, we can count this as an omicron victory over the vaccinated.
I think only 13 attendees are confirmed infected. The 100 figure seems to have been floated as a "possible end-point" for eventual "linked" cases. But it's a bit hard to tell which is more mixed up, the English press reports or the Chrome translation of the nrk story.
