Well put.

We need a nation of individuals with the conscience and with the conviction of Henry David Thoreau. The battle has only just begun.

A staring contest with Justin Trudeau? No thanks, I can't stand the sight of him.

Want to be positive but I'll give it until after Thanksgiving. Just enough to let Canadians feel free with a normal holiday. Then bam... only fully vaxxed again.

Yep. I wouldn't doubt it. We are likely in the eye of the storm.

Brian Peckford's case is supposed to be heard in federal court in September. It's going to be difficult for Justy and his nodding seals to argue against the last living signatory of the Charter of Rights. I know the old normal is gone, but I still have hope for better days to come.

My thoughts are that Justin drove the pendulum as far left as he could push it, in his quest for more authoritarianism but that we will move to a more centred, moderate state. Concerning is he pushed through Bill C-11, a significantly authoritarian piece of law to enable him to shut down, and punish criticism. Very concerning vis a very s his funding of certain media and blocking of others - truly he has created state sponsored media very much characteristic of communist authoritarian states. The guys a menace - can’t wait til he moves to Cuba, since China doesnt want him.

Smug, arrogant Justin Castreau and his handlers have wrought so much destruction to every facet of our lives in just a few short years.

It’s heartbreaking. I’ve never been overly patriotic. I’m one of those who opts out of singing the anthem because of how colonial it is… and yet I have wept at the loss of a country I didn’t know it was possible to lose. I didn’t buy into the c19 propaganda even at the start and was grateful that I was Canadian which meant I was protected by the charter of Canadian rights and freedoms from cohered vaccination (ha!). And then one day a man who was born in Wuhan (this is just coincidental) sat in my kitchen and told me that his parents got him out of China after the massacre in Tiananmen Square because they knew that it was their last chance to get out. That while China was never great at the humans rights thing that this event signalled a whole other level of totalitarianism. He went on to say that the current state of affairs in Canada were reminiscent of that time. My blood ran cold. Since then I have heard this same sentiment from many immigrants who came to Canada to escape situations which crushed human rights. They all say the same thing, we Canadians can not see what is right in front of our eyes because we have never experienced it before and naively believe it could never happen here. I use to believe I was blessed to have a Canadian passport. Now I wonder what will happen to my children should they stay in Canada.

Indeed he has. I am old enough to remember the anger of working folk when his dad implemented the baby bonus. So acorn/tree, but even Pierre would b shocked at the division of the country.

Let's keep up the fight. A clear conscience and the knowledge of not having bent to tyranny is worth it.

Thank you for continuing to shine a light on what many still can't seem to see. My friend who lives in BC, can finally travel to Ontario to see her aging parents. The nursing home where her mother is would not let anyone in not vaccinated when her brother visited in April. Hopefully, the weather will be warm enough to bring her outside in August. It is cruel and senseless, when people in their final years are kept from those who love them.

As my husband works for the federal government, we were very relieved to hear that he too can "return" to working (from home). This was our bigger priority, although we'd like to get into the US at some point.

However, I just can't understand our friends/family who didn't get outraged themselves, that he lost his job, when he was working from home until December 2022 (minimum). This was an egregious abuse of government power; one that should have frightened every single Canadian, "vaxxed" or not.

Agreed. I’ve never been so disillusioned by Canadians complacency until now. Firing much needed workers (especially those who could work from home) was obviously vindictive and totalitarian. And rather than being outraged most seemed to ignore it or believe it was justified.
