Dear Scott Moe,
Today, you released a letter in support of Canadian truckers, and I thank you for that; however, even as you call for lifting the vaccination mandate for truckers, you have maintained a vaccination mandate for the citizens of your very own province. I appreciate that you believe the vaccine prevented you from getting seriously ill from the virus, but people that are honest about data understand that you do not observe the counterfactual. For a virus that, long before vaccines, has been acknowledged by most of the so-called ‘experts’ as being asymptomatic in up to and above 50% of people, it is quite the claim to expect that the vaccination somehow led to an even better outcome than that in yourself. But the most interesting part of your letter is the part where you admit that the vaccine does not reduce the transmission of the virus.
In your own words, the entire basis for vaccination mandates is gone, and the entire push for vaccines is based on the untestable hypothesis that they will lead to a better outcome in your unvaccinated citizens in the rare case that they do contract the virus. As such, you must lift the proof of vaccination requirement in the province immediately. There is absolutely no scientific basis for keeping it in place, and the damage to people’s mental and physical health by imposing the mandate in the first place needs to stop. As an unvaccinated Canadian, your efforts to protect me from a virus that I have already had (with the same outcome as you) do not make me feel protected.
I know I have many Canadian followers, and I would say that if you are not already contacting your politicians, now is the time. They are faltering.
He seems to be taking baby steps, which is more than any other Premier has done. Hopefully the truckers protest is going to push all of this into the historical dumpster for good.
Well said. I hit up Doug Ford and my conservative MPP with the same argument in an email earlier today. Not as eloquent as yours, but it will do!
