The trial for Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada, and dozens of his supporters is now underway in Saskatoon. Their crime? Participating in a protest. Due to the large number of accused, the trial needs to be held at a convention center, rather than a courtroom. In a way, the venue is fitting. The informal setting for this farce helps to formalize the decay of the institutions that are meant to protect, not democracy, but the foundational precepts that allow democracy to exist and thrive.
The State has become so thoroughly corrupted that it now turns on its own citizenry, for the “crime” of calling out malfeasance and corruption by the State actors. State security forces have been weaponised against the ruling party’s political rivals.
Just like the DOJ & FBI in Washington, DC. This is ‘Banana Republic’ territory.

And of course, without massive public protest this will continue, which is what I expect, because even in the face of histories largest crime, people are lazy and would rather type and be employed than give up their warm and cozy spaces and lose their meaningless stuff.
They're all in bed together. Bernier was interviewed on Jordan Peterson's YouTube channel a few days before the last election. It ends up he'd voted for that law that restricted free speech with respect to gender pronouns without having read the legislation. He just voted along party lines. In fact, he never knew anything about it until Peterson explained it to him. The only reason he started his own party is because he was expected to win the leadership of the conservative party and then lost unexpectedly to Harper on, I think it was, the third ballot.
This is all for show. Canadians don't have any charter rights because our constitution was never ratified. So why is Brian Peckford suing over the charter rights? Likely it's just for show.
Canada never has been nor likely ever will be, a democracy. It's run by the Privy Council who take orders from the Queen (King, now) who takes orders from nobody knows who.

That article lists every law, executive order and regulation created since 1900 that made this plandemic happen. Yeah, well, the military is in total control and can legally force inject every American with anything the head of the HHS tells them to. That's why I'm saying this is a distraction. It's not that it isn't real. It is real. But in comparison to what matters, it's meaningless. We are in a state of emergency pandemic and because of that all rights have been suspended and we are controlled by officials that aren't our elected officials. But, because we are Canadian, we don't have enough rights to even know what laws or regulations have been enacted. Ask Bernier to explain that to you. Bet you he doesn't answer. Probably didnt read those documents either.
I agree. When I use the word democracy, it is a normative statement. Without wholesale changes, which is a pipedream at the moment, there isn't anything redeemable about our current system. Bernier, I would say, has at least been pretty consistent on issues he cares about (medical freedom as an example) and he seems like a nice enough guy... but he is no savior. The system is too complex for any human to fully understand largely because laws and regulations stay on the books and TPTB (which doesnt need to be a conscious entity) choose whether or not to follow them and selectively enforce them to their benefit.
One thing that has bothered me since the election - Mark Friesen (AKA "Grizzly Patriot") supposedly got hospitalized with COVID 2 weeks after that Saskatoon event (which the media tried to tie to it) and he was in hospital for a very long time. Is he an actor (as the nickname and sudden 'fame' might indicate), or was this an attack? I think those are higher-probability branches than this being a coincidental infection...
Bernier also barely acknowledged that this happened (if at all)...
I didn't really follow his story... but spending a long time in the hospital could be indicative of many things... was he put on a ventilator? Surprised he lived if so.
He was. For a while. The whole timing of it seemed suspect though because he was out attending rallies the entire year, but suddenly this happens 2 weeks after their PPC convention on election night and the media ran with it and used it to demonize the PPC
It’s seeming like the governments (or whoever is pulling the strings) wants the criminals on the streets and the freedom fighters in jail because they want as much chaos and corruption as possible running rampant. So that they (the puppeteers) can be our saviours. (By making laws that control and surveil us all)
