Did Quebec implicitly issue a correction on their case numbers or were 93% of cases over the holidays in the vaccinated?
On the final day before the holidays, I noted that Quebec claimed 55% of cases were in the unvaccinated, a sharp divergence from their daily trends. I suspected they would issue a correction to their data… well, they did not, but I will assume that the data has been corrected. Otherwise, yikes!
Here is a government of Quebec chart from December 22.
And here is one today:
Now, in the spirit of intellectual honesty, I should note that we can only see the change in cases in the last 28 days. 6407 cases dropped from the data in the time period between reports. If 100% of those were unvaccinated, then only about 83% of cases over the holiday were in the vaccinated. But I find it unlikely that the cases that dropped were all unvaccinated.
From the charts, there is a difference of 47034 fully vaccinated cases, 2232 partially vaccinated cases, and 3766 unvaccinated cases between December 22 to December 28. In other words, 92.9% of the total case difference is in the vaccinated. If we conservatively assume just 40% of the cases that dropped off were vaccinated, then 87.1% of cases over the holidays were in the vaccinated population.
In other words, the virus is ripping through the vaccinated population at a much higher rate than the unvaccinated population (approx. 81.5% of Quebec had at least 1 dose).
OR.
They corrected the number claiming 55% of cases were in the unvaccinated without telling anyone and case rates between the vaccinated and unvaccinated populations are similar though still higher in the vaccinated? (today, 83.7% of new infections were in the vaccinated).
In any case, vaccines are at the very least useless. Time for Quebec to get rid of their ridiculous vaccine mandates.
Interesting!
Yesterday I was reading on Canada's Propaganda Service about Quebec's covid situation ( https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/quebec-health-workers-job-covid-1.6299204 ), and the Quebec Health Minister was quoted as saying that of 12,833 cases on Tuesday, about 8,000 were in the Unvaccinated.
I was shocked to read that about 2/3 of cases were in the Unvaccinated! I pulled up the chart you show above, but for Tuesday, and it did show 12,833 cases, about 8,000 of which were in the Unvaccinated. And it showed the definition of Unvaccinated as including those who have taken their first vaccination in the last 14 days (as you point out in your helpful daily reports). So I wondered if most or all of the "Unvaccinated" cases were really just "breakthrough" infections after the first injections.
Good to see your analysis today, and good to see today's "Unvaccinated" case count is much lower. This seems much more believable than yesterdays figures and the statement of the Health Minister.
Brilliant Thank you. Another one bookmarked for the future publication of the encyclopedia of public deception practiced without any hesitation or explanation by authorities all over the world.
