That's sadly the way we as a species is wired. The more of the flock says the sky is blue, the bluer the sky seems.

If you haven't and want to have nightmares, look up Solomon Asch's conformity experiments. The nightmares aren't from the actual method, but for the conclusions and what they imply about us humans.

Yes. The NFEO is my more descriptive way of saying the NWO, which includes the Elites of the USA (among other nations).

You can check these two articles for your background research, they're in english:

At a casual glance it appears as a spat between Engel and Dikkeboom, where the latter tries to use the courts as his bully-boy to shut Engel up.

It appears Engel's statements about the dutch governement tut-tutting about freedom of speech and press violations in Russia, while doing basically the same at home has riled the feathers of some prominent people.

Unfortunately, I cannot find anyone posting what actual claims or statements by Engel is the ones deemed possibly criminal. Hope the articles help.

Awesome. Thank you. From what I understand at first glance is no individual statement was deemed criminal, rather, he was arrested by proxy of the fact that he is a dissident. This arrest may even be an escalation of their usual tactics of finding an innocuous statement someone has made at sometime in the past and blowing it out of context. Which means it may be more draconian than meets the eye... But that is my first reading of the situation and further research may prove me wrong

I think a trial would be an interesting way to get some facts into the public eye. It will be interesting if they drop it before it gets to court.

Perhaps, but not two seconds before it gets the court. And it will take a long time getting there while he racks up tens of thousands in legal fees. The process is the punishment.

That seems to be the case to me too, building on my experience from Sweden, where this has been a standard method of silencing political opposition since 1986, when an old "hate speech law" was made into a catch-all rubber paragraph. It has since been modified so that it in essence means "anything the court decides is a crime".

In a totalitarian society it isn't saying the wrong thing that's a crime so much as it is not saying the right thing often enough (but not too often).

I wonder if what really pushed the "authorities" over the edge was Engel's public questioning of the official "Putin/Russia bad, Ukraine perfectly innocent" narrative?

It looks like the deep state is preparing for the next wave :

1. intimidate critics

2. prepare technical and legislative infrastructure to silence different opinions - Trudeau reviving G7 Rapid Response Mechanism

Next autumn at the latest it will get very hairy again.

Yes, it seems we are currently in a "phoney war" on speech where only some outliers are quashed, before it becomes full totalitarianism.

Yikes. He isn't particularly controversial in my experience but I haven't watched any form of television in years (I don't even own a TV!)

The irony is that Carlson is an actual patriot whereas those who want him arrested are the true traitors -- they are colluding to overthrow the USA in collusion with the WEF and CCP. They are corrupt and own the MSM, unfortunately. But they call a true patriot a traitor. They accuse him of that which they're guilty of.
