On thinking about this some more, what strikes me so strongly is the fact that all these people do is follow the wind of prevailing opinion. They've sniffed a change in the wind, so they're tacking. None of this was ever about science, data, evidence, truth, health, or trying to do what was best for Canadians. Pure political posturing.

A few days ago we have Justin Trudeau sitting in isolation, having had COVID, been double vaccinated, boosted, and caught COVID a second time three weeks later. Tweeting that it was time to roll up your sleeve and get vaccinated and boosted. I mean… my mind reels at it all.
I’m terrified this entire vaccine passport thing is going to start again this fall after the updated vaccines come out. Then it’ll be another 12 months to see the narrative collapse again.
I thought you were going to say that by reassessing the vaccine passports system, he meant it’s never going away, and if you don’t want to lose your passport, you need to be boosted.
Mask mandates will go sooner than he thinks unless hey redefine hem to punish the unvaccinated. Part of the popularity of vaccine passports is that they enable a regime that punishes the unvaccinated.
Mask mandates which don’t achieve that will be abandoned.

I think what you did in this piece is very important; we must not be easily pacified. ("OK, OK, we'll pretend the vaccines are safe and effective as long as you don't require us to get them.") I've seen many mainstream sources trying to selectively backpedal while simultaneously advancing a faulty narrative. And boy, does it stink.
