He's as bright as they get, snatching degree after degree in Tech Uni of Zurich - not an easy feat - then moving to Harvard where he studied under Kissinger in his prime. Don't discount him too cheaply.
Perhaps the reason I don't think he's bright is because of his way of articulating himself? The idea that stakeholder capitalism (which to me sounds like re-gifted communism) is going to be a successful endeavor is not fresh or insightful. We are only in uncharted territory because of US war mongering. Putin faced far worse in Chechnya from a military perspective. Western leaders don’t have a clue what they’ve really done to themselves, and the rest of us, over the next decade in backlash to us using the dollar as a weapon, freezing assets, and engaging in extrajudicial asset seizures of private property from uninvolved citizens. I have no idea what Putin is thinking, or if anything really exploded, and neither do you.

The fact absolutely no one did anything to deescalate before, and we seem to be escalating rather than deescalating now, is insane. I don’t know about Putin, but planning ain’t our governments thing with the current administration. Destruction is the outcome. Scale the unknown.
Worked as a cleaner, the kind that goes in and cleans up an apartment or a house where someone died and wasn't found until weeks later. Or when someone fell asleep on the couch while smoking - couldn't eat smoked pork for half a year after that one.
