Teflon man? Does he sweat? Off-topic (sort of). Did you see this yet? MSM is giving it a lot of traction. See "model," and author conflicts. I've been sharing this with all the stats-substack authors. I don't have the skill level to unpack all of the shenanigans.
Yes been seeing this too and sharing it on substacks. From what I get, if one simply READS the article and knows just a little bit (sadly, not so for most who will see the headline??) well it’s full of obvious BS! For starters, it’s based on modeling. How bout they just use the real world data that abounds? (& shows CONTRARY to the headline?! Oh!--that’s why they don’t.) Comparing boosted to anyone is unfair as we all know the boost will wane. I’m sure there are other, deeper, problems with it too, though. Can’t wait for one if these stacks to pick it apart.
Yes just glanced at it and noted its a model. Very prone to bad or missing assumptions. I don't have time to take a thorough read at the moment I'll try to give it a closer read through tonight.
It is unfortunate that you are not willing to open your mind. The trust some Canadians hold in government, will be our downfall. You are okay with this, as you agree with the government. What happens when you don't? Crushing peaceful protesters (yes they were - I have family who lives in Ottawa) and freezing bank accounts? JT refused to meet with them, even via Zoom. The feds went from zero to 60. You are okay with this overreach? What happens when you don't want the 6th "booster?" What about if you feel you don't "need" the mRNA HIV shot that is in the works? Think about it. There is no one size fits all.
What a silly comment!! We have an elected government, no dictator!! Our system doesn't slow for that. Decisions are made by parliament, not Trudeau. Why don't you educate yourself on how our system works!!!!!
Be careful putting too much faith in the belief that being elected to government is a mandate to trounce on people's rights. We shouldn't pretend like democracy does no ill when we are in the middle of the residential school saga.
The people that invaded Ottawa and held the city hostage, disrespected people rights. They don't have the right to trounce on people's rights!! Tge government did the right thing to get the hoodlums out of ottawa
Those are talking points. They are Canadians going to their capital. That's no invasion. No one was held hostage. Busineses that stayed open benefited, violent crime went down in the areas they were in, and the homeless were well fed for pnce. These people trampled on no rights and the situation could have been resolved quite easily. Ie., by lifting nonsensical mandates on travel. Was Rosa Parks trampling on white rights when she sat at the front of the bus?
They trampled on people's rights to go to work, most of downtown shut down! They trampled on people's rights to move around freely in their city, they trampled on people's rights to havevpeacexand quiet. They trampled on the right of the pets that were terrorized by the constant honking of horns 24 hours a day!! I could go on, but i think you get my drift.
Ah yes, those non-existent "rights" to.....not see trucks or Canadian flags? Not hear horns honking? But it's totally ok for the government to trample on actual, legally-enshrined rights like medical freedom and privacy, travel, assembly, protest, work, and on and on...
When it comes to health during a pandemic they have the rights to do so. I'm glad they did otherwise there would have been hundreds of thousands more people die??
Your rights were not infringed on!!
Governments around the world did the same things!! Saved people lives!!!!
Now apply that statement to any other head of state in any other time-period and see if you can find even one the statement doesn't fit.
As for your comment on Canada having an elected governement: so did GDR, so did Irak under Saddam Hussein, so does DPRK. Election is a method, democracy is far more than just elections.
Perhaps you should read up on democracy and its history? Start with Plato's 'The Republic' and work your way forward. At 500 pages a day, which is easy for anyone of normal intelligence, you'll quickly be up to spec on the topic.
Of course, one can and should have the freedom to state opinions on topics one is not educated in - a formal degree is only sine qua non in a formal setting after all - but having at least a modicum of knowledge lends greater credence to what is being said, and if one's language is also flavoured with a little esprit and some bon mots, all the better.
Yup, pure corruption from top to bottom. That evil man should have been gone long ago.

He made the right decision under the circumstances. No need for him to sweat!!
Right decision for an autocratic maniac determined to crush any opposition to his dictatorship, true.
Spoken like a true conspiracy theorist!!
