Sounds a lot like DC. And this comes with the territory of living in the capitol city. Entitled, indeed. The left.

I saw a video (sorry can’t find a link) where Doug Ford stated it would be political suicide to speak against the health minister’s orders. bonnie liarface henry (B.C. health minister) said something to that effect in her autobiography, saying that in order to keep her job she has to go along (not sure who her master is). No one in politics has the people’s backs, they have their own backs and that’s it.

They don't have their own backs though, they have only slavery to look forward to when the sovereign governments are destroyed, probably not even better shoes to wear than the people they are selling out now. There will be nothing to preserve for oneself at the very rapid rate first world nations are going down the toilet !

I agree, these people are very short sighted.

Your comment got the gist of what Ford said. He referred to the Chief Public Health Officers in the various provinces, meaning the b'crats, not the elected MPs who serve as Health Ministers. The significance of this clarification, ZenZebra, is that even the Cabinet member responsible for the health department absurdly deferred to the head of this unit despite that head not being a 'top doctor' but just another public servant. It turned servant into master.

Blessings upon you, friend.

Thanks for the clarification! Makes it even worse, that ultimately we’re following medical orders from a public servant. 🤡 It’s all such a circus.

- Just read your Substack post explanating how our parliamentary system has failed us. Great explanation! (subscribed) Looking forward to the answer to the question your post ended with 🧐

Hopefully the Senators understand this and vote differently to how the House of Commons voted last night...

Harper fucked us over for generations with his morally admirable but terrible realpolitik policy of not appointing unelected Senators -- this Liberals own the Senate for the forseeable future, there's no way they don't fall in line.

I wonder if he realises that he would gain far more votes and support by being this plain on camera instead? Just lay off the cussing, use colourful phrases creatively instead.
