Great analysis. Thank you for taking the time to do this and to share it with us. If only the media would do its job and actually examine how the numbers are calculated, instead of just parroting what the government reports. Am so disgusted how the unvaccinated numbers have been so wrongly reported.
Today I heard a "journalist" saying technical COVID updates are too... technical for people to understand and they want good old fashioned case numbers and hospitalizations... Yeah we tried that and they still didn't understand. I looked at the "report" she was complaining about and it wasn't even technical.
Very interesting. The more you look the worse it gets, there’s lies on top of lies, and I’m sure every step of the way the public health authorities convinced themselves their deceit was for the public good.
I’d love to see the raw data without the 14 day offset, and without any unknown vaccination status cases. My guess is the shots have essentially no efficacy against all cause mortality when balanced against the side effects and the fact you still catch COVID.
I have little doubt about it... But there would need to be strict controls to account for starting points. Or We would need to look at populations that do not die from the virus. About 72% of deaths were in the vaccinated over this period which is suggestive of some efficacy against dying until you realize the very, very sick people are less likely to get vaccinated (because they're very, very sick). Of course, I'd need better granularity in the data to prove that. I have seen some evidence from studies that has shown unvaccinated people are more likely to start off in worse health (and we are talking about cases on the edge/fringe of the spectrum, so it doesn't take much difference, proportionally, in health starting points to lead to huge differences in deaths).
You seem like one of those guys that carefully watches the magicians hands and figures out how the trick was done. Very astute observations, thanks for reporting!
I had noticed that too! Your graphs are very telling. I assume the cases per 100,000 graph is based on new cases, not active cases, which makes it more scary than it ought to be.
Alberta has just stopped publishing data around: (1) Vaccine effectiveness against variants of concern (namely, they don't want to publish the Omicron numbers); and (2) Case rates by vaccination status.
In lock step with the information the CDC is withholding.

You honestly expect a journalist to be able to do any kind of math?

Correct. It is based on new cases
